Beautiful donuts that won't add years onto your life, but you were interested in doing that anyway. You want the glazed donut with a fruit you've never heard of sprinkled on it. They have it.

These doughnuts were delicious! There was a bit of a line but it moved super quick and it was well worth the wait!

Self-described as "The World's Freshest Doughnuts," and personally felt to be the Nation's premier purveyor of fried Dough ever since stumbling across the Costa Mesa flagship in 2013, it was via special delivery that Sidecar Doughnuts & Coffee once again impressed on Friday, a little in-transit damage doing nothing to compromise the taste of unparalleled Ingredients and smartly developed recipes.Out of all my food adventures this is my favorite donut shop I used to think donuts could never be elevated...then I ran into this place and was blown away. The best donuts here: Butter & Salt, Bannana Split Donut (collaboration with Richard Black #lifechanging ), now this Strawberries & Cream Donut!! Gotta have them fresh

These are some of the most decadent doughnuts I've ever had. They're more like decadent cakes! Super rich and decadent, can't wait to go back and try more once I've finished working off the ones I ate last 😅

Great donuts. They do a good job at keeping only one customer in the store at a time during quarantine, but the reason I took one star off was because the cashier at register named off the donuts while standing OVER my donuts, box open, no face mask, and punching in the prices....Defeats the whole point doesn’t it?Other than that the staff were gracious and kind and working really hard.

Donuts here are insanely fresh and delicious!They have good selection, I'm gonna try one of each, bucket list baby!

The softest donuts in LA. All of the flavors are well balanced and the donuts are not too sweet or overwhelming. Their coffee selection is also great with many choices for milks

Holy donuts! Or non holy donuts, they have them all. Gooooorgeous inventive flavours (that’s how you spell it in the UK). Recommend lemon tart and Creme brûlée. Coffee is great to. Take your own reusable cup and they’ll fill you up. Enjoy

Depends what you're looking for. If you want to pay $4 for a glazed 'doughnut' shaped muffin, then it's perfect. If you want a donut, somewhere else might be better....and more cost effective. I spent $23 on 6 donuts.

Be careful, this place has sold gluten free donuts but they are not really gluten free. Nobody asks have you an allergy or a preference. Only on their page you can see ALLERGY WARNINGS: Please note we are NOT a gluten-free/vegan facility. While our gluten-free/vegan flavors are made with gluten-free/vegan ingredients, they are prepared in the same workspace and fryers as our regular doughnuts.

You gotta get those donuts when they are warm straight out of the oven. I tell you it's life changing!!

Not usually a cake doughnut fan, but they make really delicious moist cake donuts. Old fashioned and Benedict are amazing.

I love the donut holes! There are two type of donut holes - traditional glazed and cakey. The cake ones are denser and come in different flavors (chocolate), glazes, and toppings (powdered sugar, sprinkles, cinnamon sugar, etc.).

The samples they give out are so fresh and good! My favorite donut from here is the butter and salt donut. The texture inside is different than other donuts I've had before. The monthly favorites for October that I liked were vanilla chai and pumpkin spice

I got the butter & salt and the cinnamon crunch, both were delicious. They weren't greasy and had a really nice cakey texture.

Get the chocolate glazed and cherry donut. Some of the best I've ever had. Super nice lady that works there too!

They definitely live up to the hype. By far some of the best donuts I have ever tasted in my life. I've tried at least 8 different flavors since my friends first brought some to work a few months back, and let me tell you that they were all top-notch. Yes, they are a little pricey, but you are definitely getting what you pay for here.

How can I say the love I have for Sidecar donuts ? It is a serious must if you are in the area. It is NOT like any other donut shop. Why?Well for starters, even the more traditional flavors are done so much better than in your average donut shop. But they really are excelling with their not traditional flavors. My favorite is the huckleberry, but I have also recently had there lemon and Rosemary one and wow! This is all coming from someone who is not that much of a donut fan but I AM a fan of sidecar donuts.

The staff here is extremely polite and patient well you look over the selection of donuts to choose from. They have the "standard" varieties, then custom decorated donuts ranging from $3.50 on up.

Amazing donuts. Dreamt of tasting their donuts for two years, until I traveled there from Germany only to try those. One of the best I had in my life! Worth the flight from Europe

Absolutely amazing doughnuts! Probably the best myself and my husband have ever had! We return each time we visit the area and are never disappointed. Fantastic flavours, beautifully presented and affordable packs.Would highly recommend and will continue returning as a happy customer! Delicious!

Wow. I went simple and got the butter and salt doughnut.. it was really good! Best doughnuts I’ve ever had. Somehow both light and dense, both sweet and savory. The espresso is also pretty good.

These doughnuts were delicious! There was a bit of a line but it moved super quick and it was well worth the wait! There were a number of different flavors (around 10); my wife got the old fashioned glaze and I got the chocolate and both were very fresh. They also offered a gluten free doughnut.

Unbelievable donuts you make it a little sticker shock that donuts but they are well worth it. It's a must-try it's well worth the trip, well worth the extra cost it's a must-try you have to go and try. I didn't get a chance to try the coffee but if the donuts are this exquisite the coffee should be.Try the chocolate donut!!! Sorry no photos next.

I live in Australia, but have been here almost everyday when I’m in LA. It is quite simply the best donut I’ve ever had. The butter and salt is to die for. Honestly if you live in LA and you haven’t been here, not only are you doing yourself a disservice but you’re spitting in the face of everyone that loves donuts and does not have Sidecar in the country.Only constructive criticism would be that they’re a tad expensive

They hand them to you WARM, it's like eating a decadent round piece of cake. Butter & Salt is like a luscious pancake.

Easily some of the most delicious, well-crafted donuts out there - if you're in Santa Montica and looking for some great breakfast food, here's your place. Thanks for a great experience!

I had seen this place on social media somewhere and had added to my foodie bucket list. So when I had some time to kill in Santa Monica I decided to cross it off. I got 3 different doughnuts: Maple Bacon, Coffee cake and Old fashion. All 3 where amazing, they weren't the light fluffy doughnuts you get from Krispy Kreme but these were hefty cake like doughnuts. They were pricey but you get what you paid for. Not something I would go out of my way to get again but it's worth trying at least once.

Pros: Excellent premium and unusual donuts, and a few classics. Good coffee, as well, reasonably prompt service. Con: Limited seating area. Try the bacon and maple donut. Seriously.
